This was a great day!

This morning we met the Potter family for a day of fun at a splash park. We got there right as the water was starting for the day. The splash park had two playgrounds on either side and lots for the kids to do. After being there for only a little bit buses of daycares pulled up and it got super crowded. It was hard to keep track of our kiddos, but Cooper and Baylor had so much fun playing with Maddy and Drew. We brought buckets, watering cans, squirt guns, etc. that were quite a hit with our kids and several others. The water was a little cold but the sun was shining and it was a perfect day to be outside. We were able to get a table early in the morning in the shade for our lunch. The kids had fun eating outside and sitting together. Maddy and Drew were so funny eating their lunch. After playing at the splash park for a little longer we drove to another playground by the ball diamond area. We saw it on the way in and we were the only ones there. It was a toddler playground and so nice to only watch four little heads playing together. We definitely want to go back again it was so much fun! On our way home we stopped at Dippin Dots Ice Cream for a treat. The kids loved their ice cream and Jamie and I did too. It was so yummy!

Both boys have desperately needed haircuts. Baylor's hair has gotten so long and he needed shaped up. Cooper, our Mr. Einstein, needed his crazy hair cut in the back. They both did great and we survived a double haircut. They both look cute with their new dos.

5 Year Well Visit

Baylor needed a physical before preschool so he had his five year well visit today. He was very nervous about going to the doctor and did not want to get any shots. Luckily it was a shot free appointment. He had a great checkup and everything looks great. He weighs 47 pounds and is 44 1/2 inches tall. I can't believe my baby is going to be five in only two months. The time has gone by so fast. I am so happy he has one more year of preschool. I want to cherish this time with him and let him be little for as long as I can.

Today we started our food pantry donation quest. We drove letters all around Washington Street to work on donations for the dinner. Mimi drove and I got in and out of the car asking for donations. It always makes me nervous but by the second or third you get back into the begging swing. We stopped for lunch at one of our stops, Dairy Queen. The boys both got an ice cream cone with their kid's meal. However, Cooper decided he wanted Mimi's cone dipped in chocolate. He would not give it back and was very busy eating the chocolate, he was loving the cone.

After getting up at 4:40 am this morning we arrived back home again around 10:30 am. We were all so very tired but were happy to be home with no problems. We had a great time with Joe and Megan and did so many fun things. I was so happy to pull in the driveway and see my three boys. Cooper kept hugging me and saying "Mama". I know he was happy to see me and excited to see Mimi and Pop too. Baylor was anxious to see his surprises and tell us about what he had been doing. We spent the rest of the day playing and hanging out together. I am so happy to be back with my boys, I love them all so much!

Super Pals Saturday

We started this Saturday the same as we start most by making pancakes. We never would have eaten if it were not for my two great cooking assistants! After breakfast we headed out for the day. We went to the bank and the dry cleaners before heading to Build-A-Bear, which was Baylor's prize for doing such a great job at swimming lessons! After that we grabbed lunch and headed to my office to eat and for me to get my stuff together for a conference. We had a special treat tonight. The boys were still asleep when I heard Brian Brown pull up in the Mustang - he was nice enough to drop it by since I had two cars at work. Brian and Kim were meeting up with Carl and Nicole for dinner tonight and asked if we wanted to go. We were happy to go with everyone. Baby Eli was handsome as ever. Baylor loved playing with Ms. Gabrielle Brown - he better watch out, I hear his dad is a tough guy! It was a fun night - we wish Mommy could have been there - we miss her. The boys are going to be excited to see her tomorrow - so will Daddy!

This bridal store was so neat. They restore old wedding dresses and some of them are over a hundred years old. You would definitely have a one of a kind dress.

We woke up early this morning and left for Vermont. It was a really pretty drive and thankfully less windy and hilly. It was a beautiful day outside and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. Vermont is somewhere I would definitely visit again for a longer period of time. The landscape is lovely and many of the towns are so quaint and full of history. We went in lots of cute shops and to two great farmer's markets. The produce was so pretty. I bought a pint of cherry tomatoes and popped them like candy, eating all of them by myself. I love tomatoes and these were delicious. Everything was so fresh and just looked great. Pop had researched a restaurant in Burlington Vermont that was the scene of a Bobby Flay Throw down. With the help of the Garmin we found it without any trouble. The chef was famous for his lasagna so we all tried it and the meal was fabulous. The restaurant has been there for over sixty years and it is family owned. After eating we went to a street market with lots of shops and vendors. It was so fun. On our way back we stopped at a few farm stores and everything was delicious. We also went on a house tour of the John Strong home that was built in 1790. The house had so many antiques and was lovely. It was a great day and lots of fun in Vermont. When we made it back to Schroon Lake we met Joe for dinner and ice cream before driving to our hotel in Albany by the airport. It was so nice to spend time with Joe. I miss him so much and love being around him. I only wish he was going to be closer this school year. I know the boys are going to miss seeing their Joe Joe. He is a great little brother!
