Swimming at Mama's

We went to Mama's house for a pool day today. The sun was shining and it was nice and warm perfect for a pool day. We had fun swimming and the boys had lots of fun. They were excited to see Mama and Papa. We want to try and swim as much as we can before the pool closes for the season. It makes me sad to think that closing time is just around the corner. Where did the summer go? Oh how I love summer days!

Woody's Roundup

When we went to the Disney Store today there were some Halloween costumes out. They had Woody costumes in the right sizes for the boys. They were so excited to get them and put them on. They are going to wear them to Disney for the Not So Scary Halloween Party. We like to do a family theme but I have been having a hard time finding a maternity costume. It could be a scary sight so I might sit this year out. The boys tried their costumes on tonight and had so much fun being cowboys. They looks so cute!

Tonight Mimi and I went to the State Fair for the Sandi Patty concert. This was a special treat since Poppy was singing with the Symphonic Choir as a background singer. The show was Broadway hits and was great. We were able to meet up with Pop before the show and eat dinner with him. I had tater fries and a corn dog. What great fair treats that are super healthy! Tom got us great seats right on the track and we could see perfectly. We were so proud of Pop, he did a great job. Sandi Patty is a great singer and an awesome performer. We had lots of fun and were lucky to not get rained out.

While Tom and I were in Chicago Baylor and Cooper had a fantastic time with Mimi and Pop. This was the first time they have had both of them for the night let alone two nights. They both did great and had so much fun. Sarah spent the night too and they loved playing with her. On Saturday Mimi and Pop took the boys and Sarah to the State Fair. It was a hot day but they did it all. They saw all the animals, rode lots of rides, took a tractor ride, ate lots of food, and brought home prizes. Baylor said it was awesome. Thanks Mimi and Pop for watching the boys and loving them so.

Mama's birthday was on Friday and tonight we celebrated her birthday at Mimi and Pop's house. We also celebrated Adam's birthday day. We had a taco bar which was quite delicious and a big hit. Baylor and Cooper had fun playing outside with everyone. Sarah played a special song she wrote on the piano and did a great job. We had a great night celebrating two special birthdays and enjoyed the night with our family. It was a great way to end a fun weekend.

After my doctor's appointment on Friday we headed to Chicago for the weekend. This was our first weekend to be away from both boys who were staying with Mimi and Pop. We were joining in the wedding celebration of Alicia and Ryan. Ryan is one of Tom's good friends from college. They are both pilots and had so much fun together during their time at ISU. Ryan is such a great guy and we are so happy for him. On Friday night we went to the rehearsal dinner at Gino's Pizza. It was such a great spot for a big party and so great to see old friends. On Saturday morning we slept in, what a nice treat, and then went to lunch at Rainforest Cafe. We spent the rest of the day shopping on Michigan Avenue. It was a role reversal in shopping since I am pregnant and Tom bought a pair of shoes and three shirts. We had lots of fun and enjoyed our time together. On Saturday evening we went to the wedding. The wedding was held out side and the reception was in a huge antique store. There were so many beautiful antiques in the store and was a beautiful setting for a reception. It was a very hot day and the reception site did not have air conditioning so it was super hot. We had a great time and enjoyed sharing in this special day. This morning we woke up and had breakfast before driving home to get our boys. We really enjoyed our time together and had a great weekend in the windy city.

It's a boy! The ultrasound confirmed we are going to have three little boys. Everything looked great and he was quite active the whole time. We are so thankful and excited to welcome another prince to our home. Baylor has decided they can be the three musketeers!
