Diapers and Donuts

Jamie, me, Sarah, Nicole, Sarah, and Andrea.
All of the supplies we gathered for an orphanage in Ethiopia. We had around 340 cloth diapers, nappies, snappies, doublers, and rubber pants. We learned lots about cloth diapering.

We had donuts and fruit. The kids were happy about that.

Sweet Elena was there too! She was dedicated at church yesterday, what a sweet baby.

Parker had fun playing in the play land. Miss Sarah watched the kids for us while we got everything together.

Baylor didn't get to help since he was at school ,but when we picked him up we headed to the post office.

The box was super heavy and Baylor helped me push it into the post office.

Since we read Radical my bible study group has been wanting to do service projects. Lots of us read blogs and have been touched by adoption blogs. We saw where one adoptive Mom was gathering cloth diapers for orphanages in Ethiopia. Many of the orphanages are so overwhelmed and do not have the basic necessities for babies. They often have to use plastic bags or go without diapers. The videos and pictures are truly heartbreaking. We all decided to gather cloth diapers and supplies and send them to this mother who then gets them to Ethiopia with adoptive parents. We gathered lots of great items and had a box full of goods that I know will bless sweet babies waiting for their forever families. It was a great day and I am so blessed to have these sweet friends to "do" life with.

I am so thankful for them and feel so blessed to be their mom. Being a mom is such a big responsibility and a hard job and I love these three little ones so much!

I love Mom and Mama and am so thankful for all they have taught me over the years. They are Godly women who are such a good example.

Baylor made me a special dessert, jello with strawberries and cool whip. He did it all by himself and was so proud.

The boys painted Mimi a canvas with their hand prints. They couldn't wait to give them to her.

I love my sweet Mom and am so thankful for her!

What a wonderful Mother's Day. I am so thankful for all of the Mother's in my life and to be a mother to three sweet boys. I truly think being a mother is the most rewarding thing. I love my boys and cherish the time I am with them. It's a tough job and at times I feel like I make mistakes or am failing at being a mom, but I would not trade a single moment with them. I pray for them daily and want the best for them. We had a great day together. This morning before church the boys gave me my presents. Baylor had made me a ring and several cards. It was so sweet and he was so proud. Tom got me a new sweeper, which I really wanted, and a gift certificate to a nail salon. I loved my presents. We had a great church service and then went to lunch at Champp's with family. After nap we played outside and enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather. Mimi and Pop came over for dinner and we ate outside and enjoyed a nice evening together. Mimi made dessert and we opened presents. It was a great Mother's Day!

We all wore our Reds gear to cheer on our little player. We were so happy it didn't rain during our game.
Parker finally got out at the end of the game. He kept saying out over and over while sitting in his stroller.

Today we stayed at home and played outside. It was a rainy morning but then the clouds broke and it was sunny! I felt like singing "Here Comes the Sun". I will say I am loving how green everything is outside. This is Baylor inside of his lean to that he built out of sticks.
This lawn mower has been a favorite of all the boys. He will pull it all around the yard. Look at that smile.

On Thursday Tom got home early from the airport and we had time to play outside before dinner and the program. He was happy to be outside.

While Daddy was gone Parker and I played in his room at night while the big boys watched cartoons. We would text Daddy pictures so he wasn't too sad.

When I cleaned out the closets and put winter clothes away I was on hanger overload. I had them all in a box and Parker dumped them all over our room while I was folding laundry. He looks proud doesn't he?

On Monday night I made chicken and noodles and the boys loved them and ate great! I think they both had two helpings.
