Parker's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday Party

Oh "TWO"dles Parker is turning 2!!!

On Saturday we celebrated Parker's 2nd birthday with our family and friends. I can't believe our baby is 2. He had a great time and was so excited for his party.
Parker loves Mickey Mouse so it was an easy decision when picking out what to do for his special day. He loves Mickey and Donald and loves dancing to the Hot Dog dance.

These are the pictures I used on his invitation and thank you cards.

I ordered them from Patty Cake Press on Etsy and loved working with her. They turned out great. She also made cute stickers that I could use on the favor bags and for the envelopes.

I love all of the fun details that made his party special. His cute Mickey overalls were another Etsy find and he could not wait to wear them on his special day.

We had his party at church and had lots of fun Mickey decorations. The favors had a Mickey coloring book, puzzle, flashcards, Pez and markers.

We had a photo booth set up to take people's pictures when they arrived at the party.

They could stand by the cutouts and wear different hats and Mickey head bands. I love all the pictures of people who came to celebrate our sweet boy.

We had Mickey pizza, Pluto's bread sticks, Donald's Garden Delights, and Minnie's grapes to eat. Mama Nita's made the Mickey shaped pizzas and they turned out great.

His cake was super cute and was from the Cakehole. The delicious and adorable cookies came from the Cookie Closet. She is so talented.

So thankful for great family and friends.

We had Tabitha Willbanks came again from Wacky Willbanks for face painting and balloon creations. She is amazing and a big hit with the kids of all ages. Parker got Mickey on his hand and he loved it!

We had three games that the kids rotated through. They played Mickey ring toss, Pluto's bone toss, and Clubhouse toss. They all had fun!

Then it was pinata time! It makes me a little nervous but it worked out great. We had one pinata for kids 4 and under and one for ages 5 and up. The pinata was filled with candy and Mickey prizes. The kids loved hitting the pinata.

After the party we came and Parker opened his presents. He had the best time! Mimi and Pop and Mammaw and Pappaw came to watch him and he was so happy. He was definitely worn out and ready for a nap after his fun filled Clubhouse party.

Opening Night

Tonight we went to Opening Night of the Yuletide Celebration at Hilbert Circle Theatre. I look forward to this magical show each year, but it's extra special this year since my brother is the cast. He did a great job and I am so proud of him! The show is simply wonderful and I can't wait to go back! Tom and I were able to go to dinner at Morton's before the show. We had a great meal and had a fun little date night.
After dinner we met Mimi, Mama, Papa, Katie, Jen, and Chris for the show. Jen and Chris were able to go tonight since they won't be able to go with the rest of the family. Baby Rohn will be here in just one week!

After the show we went and got dessert with Jen and Chris.

Gingerbread Jamboree

Today we had a gingerbread class at Conner Prairie. After preschool pick up we headed there for some holiday fun. We got there early and had time to look at all of the gingerbread house and do some of the fun activities. The boys had fun decorating a house with Lincoln logs and jewels and smelling different spices. Parker would say "yucky" after smelling each one.
The houses were amazing and there were so many neat ones this year. It was hard to keep the boys from touching because they were all so wonderful. I loved them all.

Then it was time for the Gingerbread Jamboree. The boys read the story The Gingerbread man and did a poem with Miss Mary. They also sang and danced. For craft they decorated a graham crackers house with icing and candy. It was hard to keep them from eating the candy. Parker kept saying "one more". He was a fan of the Skittles.

We went on a hunt for the Gingerbread Man and then found him back in the classroom. He sang and danced with the kids.

Parker wasn't too sure but ended up giving him a hug and a high five.

Under the Big Top

A few years ago my bestie, Andrea, and I decided to to a fun family activity together instead of buying gifts. For the past few years we have gone to the circus together since it comes in December. The kids have so much fun together.
We got there at the same time and Parker and Cooper both wanted to hold hands with Gigi. She was pretty popular. She is so adorable!

We had great seats and the kids were able to move around and switch where they were sitting. It was nice to have two rows and empty seats around.

At intermission they had snow cones in a light up cup. They were happy after week with minimal sugar and water and milk.

They all watched the show and had a great time.

It was a fun night with great friends!

Jolly Days with Littles

Today we went to Jolly Days.
It was the perfect day to go. There was hardly anyone there.

We went on the slide five times and didn't have to wait long at all.

Parker loved the ice castle.

Cooper was hard at work fishing.

He was determined to catch the freshest fish, in his words.

He was successful!

The boys helped care for the reindeer.

There was no line for Santa. Parker walked right up like a big boy and climbed on Santa's lap. Right away he started telling him he wanted Elmo for Christmas and that he had Santa on his shirt like him. I had to interpret for St. Nick:). He kept saying HO HO HO to the jolly old elf. He did great.

Mimi is on the nice list!

Coop was up next, he told Santa he wanted a remote control Mario car. Thankfully he didn't say a baby girl today!

He was jumping for joy when Mimi read his name on the Nice List on Santa's desk.

The Christmas kitchen is always a favorite. There is lots to cook and bake.

Parker was busy and had to reminded to share:).

He kept saying HOT HOT HOT when he would turn on the oven.
