Mops Spa Day

Today was Spa Day at Mops. It's always a popular meeting.
There was a paraffin hand stations, massage station, eyebrow waxing, essential oils, foot soak station, hair station for up do's, and a little shopping station.

There is a missionary who has visited our church several times and she was there again today. She helps widows learn a trade in Zambia so they can earn money. They made bags, bracelets, necklaces, etc. Some are made from plastic bags, paper, and scraps of cloth. I bought a manger scene made by a lady in Zambia and I love it.

The ladies could soak their feet and then get a foot massage. Afterwards they could have essential oils on their skin. It was very interesting learning about essential oils.

Our brunch was catered by Kopper Kettle and it was yummy.

This was our last meeting until 2012 so it was nice to have a day of relaxation.

I am loving Mops this year and look forward to going and spending time with so many great ladies!

Jamie's Birthday

Jamie's birthday is on Thursday so we went to dinner on Monday night at Naked Chopsticks.

She loves sushi and wanted to go there for her birthday dinner.

I actually had sushi for the first time in my life! It was okay but not my favorite thing ever. I like the Maui one with shrimp the best.

I ordered a Bento box with chicken teriyaki and it was tasty. I loved the cute little box.

I am so thankful for your friendship and hope you have a great year. I love how the Lord placed us in the nursery at the same time as workers and we became great friends.

I love these candles on the fireplace. They twinkle and are so pretty at night when the lights are off. I love to leave them on all day long.
I also love all of the twinkling lights on the tree. I love to sit by the tree at night!

Ugly Sweater Bowling Ball

On Sunday night our church hosted a young adult Ugly Sweater Christmas bowling party. It was so much fun! I'm not sure how much longer we fit in the young adult category, but for now we are all still a part of this group:). We went all out on our outfits and had a great time.
My lovely sweater is actually from my teaching days and Tom found his beautiful vest in the Walmart Woman's secion. I love his socks and elf shoes. I thought the tutu and tights were a good look to complete my ugly outfit. We had a great time of fun, fellowship, and food.

I love these girls and am thankful for their friendship! So happy to have great friends to get to do life with and have fun at the same time.

Some sweaters had lights, were borrowed, from Goodwill, or made.

Robert won for highest score and Mandy won for ugliest sweater. Her sweater was actually a cat sweater that was embellished with garland, lights, and foam stickers. It was classy!

Tom and Brandon both won best dressed for the men. What a fun night!

The Nutcracker

We went to the Nutcracker Ballet at Clowe's Hall with Mimi on Sunday afternoon. This is one of Mimi's very favorite things to do at Christmas time and we were excited to spend the day with her. Baylor loves Nutcrackers and enjoys the music too. He loves the Mouse King and the fight scene. Mimi brought him a new Nutcracker that he was able to open before the show. He was excited.

Joyland Christmas Party

All of the boys enjoy finding Elfie but I think Parker may be the best at spoting him. He is constantly telling me Elfie and I look and he's found Elfie 1 or Elfie 2 again. I think it's his turn to get his own Elfie.
He gets so tickled when he finds them!

Today was the Joyland Christmas party at church. I have loved workingi n Joyland this year and enjoy all of the sweet kids.

This is Baylor's small group. We love his teacher, Miss Gail.

They had cookies and juice, we sang fun Christmas songs, had a great lesson, and played games.

Lights and Nativity

After Parker's birthday party on Saturday we all took a long nap and played at home. We wore our jammies and went and looked at Christmas lights. This house is the boy's favorite each year and we go very slow to take it all in.
They even have music playing so we roll down the windows to get the full effect.

After the lights we drove through a live nativity at a little church. We try to go here every year. We we got to the part with Joseph knocking at the innkeeper's door, Cooper said "oh this is bad" when he said there was no room.

Parker really wanted to get out of the car so he could have a better look at Jesus Joy.

Our little king was able to get some pointers for his big part in his preschool program next week.

Afterwards we picked up dinner and came home to eat and spend the night playing with all of Parker's new birthday toys.
