Weekend of Rest

After my doctor's appointment on Thursday afternoon I was put on "couch" rest because of high blood pressure.  My feet were swollen too which always seems to happen around this point in pregnancy.  I spent Friday and Saturday in the chair with my feet propped up.  Mimi and Daddy were busy with the boys!  

 We had planned to go out for dinner with Jamie and Austin on Saturday night and since I was good during the day we still went.  We went to a movie first and then ate dinner at the Capital Grille.

 Devour Downtown was going on and they had a great menu option for the special event.

 We all loved our dinner and had a great night!  I think Capital Grille may be one of my favorites.

 On Sunday our church had a special event called "The Church Has Left The Building".  There were ten different service type projects that church members could participate in within our community.  Baylor and Cooper went to the food pantry with Tom.  They mopped the floors, cleaned shelves, cleaned the freezers and refrigerators, sorted food, made birthday bags, and more.

The boys did a great job and really enjoyed working at the food pantry.  They always love going with Mimi so this was a special treat for them.  The boys had practice later in the day for baseball and Daddy took all three to the ball fields to play while I rested.  They had a great Sunday!

Family Pictures

At the beginning of the summer we had family pictures taken at our house by Gina Miller.  We had a credit that we needed to use and we thought it would be a great time to get pictures before Sawyer joins our family.  The weather was perfect, the grass was still green, and the boys did great.  I am so happy to have these pictures and think they capture the boys personalities perfectly.

InstaFriday: August 3

 1. Safety first while cooking in the kitchen.

2.  Daddy made breakfast for dinner and Park wore his helmet while he ate.  Eating can be dangerous!

3.  He said he was a cowboy in this hat.  He just woke up from his nap and only wanted to wear hit hat and slippers.

4.  Potty training fun!  He loves his Jake and Mickey "underwears".

 1. Three weeks and counting until Sawyer's arrival, unless he comes early.

2.  Sleepy dog while Tom and I watch the Olympics.

3.  On Saturday I got to meet Arden.  Jamie and I went and got yogurt afterwards, fun day.  Grant is so sweet!

1. Coop's Ped. GI appt. went great.  So thankful for great doctors and a little boy who is growing and not throwing up anymore!!!!

1. Pals.  We got Bax this basket for his toys and I was on the couch and watched him pick up his toys and put them back.  He then got out a different toy to play with.

3.  Parker is doing great with his underwear!  He gets a "starbor" or a starburst when he goes on the potty.  Coop thinks he should get one too since he is his light assistant.

4.  Second day of second grade.  He rode the bus for the first time.

8.  A Taylor's cookie in the car.  He was covered in blue icing, but he enjoyed each bite.

9.  Sweet note from Baylor.  He is worried about me and thought he should stay home to help me with the littles.  I love him!

Cooper's First Baseball Practice

Cooper has been waiting to be old enough to play baseball just like Baylor.  He played soccer in the spring and loved it but decided to play baseball this fall.  On Sunday he got his new cleats, batting helmet, and glove.  He is so excited.  He has been asking all week how much longer until it was his practice day.  When he woke up this morning he wanted to know how long before practice.  He couldn't wait for Daddy to get home and take him.  Tom said he did great and was a fast little runner.  He is the littlest on the team but super determined.  Afterwards Daddy took him to Frosty Boy for dinner and ice cream alone.  He thought it was a special night!

Pool Day for Littles

 We picked up lunch again and headed to the pool to swim.

Coop was being a secret spy agent today and didn't want me to see him.  He was using his kickboard to hide.  So funny.

 It was much quieter today with just the little two.  They play pretty well together and don't really fight with each other.  It was a nice day.

 Too bad we can't swim year round here!

It would be so nice!  After swimming we came home to take a nap and then wait for our favorite second grader to get home.  Baylor had baseball practice in the evening and we took dinner to a friend who had a baby.  It was a busy day!

First Day of Second Grade

 Back to school cookies for our boy.

 He had watermelon and a granola bar before his big first day.

 We love you Baylor and are so proud of you.  We hope you love second grade and continue to love learning!

He was all smiles and ready for the day.  

He was happy when he got home off the bus too.  He said it was a good first day and he really liked his teacher.  He was so sweet and saved a seat for Maddy so he could sit by her at lunch.  He said he had fun playing freeze tag at recess too!  It was a successful first day of second grade.
