Happy Earth Day!

We planted pansies today for our front porch in honor of Earth Day!

Baylor was such a great helper.
The flowers are pretty.

Plants need water to grow.

Take time to smell the flowers.

When I taught school I loved reading Earth Day books. We read some of our favorites, The Lorax, Wump World, In My Garden, Which is Which?, and The Great Trash Bash.

Earth Day

I am the Earth

And the Earth is me.

Each blade of grass,

Each honey tree,

Each bit of mud,

And stick and stone

Is blood and muscle,

Skin and bone.

And just as I

Need every bit

Of me to make

My body fit,

So Earth needs

Grass and stone and tree

And things that grow here

Product Review

This weekend we opened a present from the Easter Bunny. It is a Crayola outdoor art easel. We love sidewalk chalk and the bunny must have known this would be fun. It looks like lots of fun on the commercial and box and says easy set up. Let's just say it was not that easy and does not fit back nicely in the box. The boys had fun though and thought it was neat to paint outside. It does wipe off easily and is a good size for both boys. The both painted for a long time and had lots of fun. My only suggestion would be better storage and set up.

Joe and Megan got engaged this weekend in Disney World. Joe has been planning this exciting proposal for months and had every detail worked out to make it perfect. We are so excited for them and can't wait to be a part of the exciting times ahead. What a magical weekend and memories to last a lifetime. This morning Coooper had his eighteen month checkup. He was right on target and doing great. He was quite social with the doctor and showed her he knew all his body parts. He was busy talking to all the ladies in the office. He weighed 26 pounds and was 33 inches. His doctor is so nice and gave his a cute book for doing so great. WE LOVE YOU COOPER!

Baylor did great at swimming today and was happy to be there. No tears today just smiles. He did a great job. The teacher told him he was doing really good.

After swimming we went to Daddy's work and met Uncle Tom and Aun Bev for lunch. We went to my new favorite restaurant, Noodles and Company. It is so delicious. We had a great time visiting with Uncle Tom and Aunt Bev. It is always so nice to see them. Our kids love them and so do we!!!

Sunday Happenings

This morning we got ready and went to church. Cooper went to the nursery again today and had a great time playing. He didn't want to leave when I went to pick him up. They said he was taking care of the other kids. When a baby cries he is always concerned and tries to help. He does the same thing when his brother is upset, even if he is the cause of the crying. After church we went to Cafe 52 with Mimi and Pop. Baylor loves to eat there every Sunday and if we don't go it just isn't the same. When we got home Baylor and Daddy got changed and headed out to the garage. It rained off and on but they were able to work on the riding lawn mower, the power washer, and the blower with Pappaw. It was a perfect day for Baylor. Dirt, Tools, Fixing Things, and Being Outside what could be better.

We finally had a soccer game and great weather as well. Baylor was excited to go to the game and ready to play. Let's just say it was a good thing they don't keep score, but the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. Our team is a little timid but they were running in the right direction. We didn't score a goal but got close several times. Baylor thought he did great and had fun so that is all that really matters. It was so fun watching them all. He kept waving to his fan club and dancing on the sidelines. He was so happy Mimi and Pop came to watch him. I think Maddy and Baylor enjoyed their bench time as much as their playing time. Too cute.

After picking up Baylor from school we went to Conner Prairie with Mimi today. What a great day to be outside. We spent most of our time at the barn enjoying all the new baby animals. There were lots of baby sheep, two that were just born this morning. They were so cute. There were baby goats and baby cows too. The boys had so much fun watching and petting them. Cooper would sit by the fence and say "Hi" over and over. They were also shearing the sheep today and we were able to watch up close. We learned lots of information about sheep and had a great time. The weather was perfect and we loved our time outside.
