Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Make a Wish!
Sharmin and Sweetie

Mimi is so good to Sweetie!
Baylor got to sit by his pal, Pop.
Cooper had fun with Mecwan.

Parker slept through the whole party.
Tom took our picture.
Mecwan is so good with kids.
A little snuggle time before church.
Loving on each other.

Today we went to P.F. Chang's with our family, Mecwan's family, and a few other friends to celebrate Sweetie's 23rd birthday. She was so excited to have a party and was so sweet. She looked so pretty and had a great time. Sweetie opened her presents and loved all of her gifts. Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch and had fun celebrating Sweetie. The boys did a great job especially since we were there for a long time with such a big group. Cooper had fun playing cars and coloring with Mecwan and Baylor colored pictures for several people in the group. It has been such a blessing to get to know Mecwan and his family, they are so special and have hearts of gold. Thanks Mimi and Pop for taking us all and being such great examples.

Bob Is Back In Town!

Can we fix it, yes we can!
He loved the slide.
Baylor on Dizzy.
Cooper liked driving Scoop.
Going for a ride in Travis.
Blast from the past.
Baylor and I with Bob when the exhibit was here before.
Look how little he was then. It makes me want to cry. He is getting so big.
Reading with Daddy in Bob's book nook.
Doing some building.
Parker was actually awake for most of his first museum trip.
Looking for dinosaur bones.
Looking good B Man!
Last night Parker went with me to a little girl's night with some friends from church. He was able to see Maddy and Drew before they went to bed.

This morning we went to the Children's Museum and the boys were so excited to go. Cooper has been asking to see the dinosaurs all the time. We wanted to see the Bob the Builder exhibit that just opened at the museum. When Baylor was almost two the exhibit was at the museum and it was one of his very favorites. I was teaching at this time and Mimi would take him every week to play there. He was so sad when it left. The Bob exhibit is even bigger this time with some new additions. Cooper was in heaven and loved all the big machines. It was a little sad because I could really tell Baylor was bigger and that he was not as interested in some parts. Cooper truly loved the entire thing. Since it was a Saturday it was super crowded but they had a great time. We also rode the carousel and visited the dinosaurs and the trains. After the museum we went to Jockamo's for lunch and had delicious pizza. I love to eat there. We had a great family day and enjoyed our time together.

Night at the Museum

Baylor, Mimi and Pop.
We may become Lincoln history buffs.
These little boys love their Daddy.
Great face Coop.
Cooper wanted to show Daddy the lion and snakes.
Daddy went fishing with the boys.
I know it's a surprise but Park slept the whole time we were gone. I did take his picture before he left. He is so handsome!

The Indiana State Museum is open later on certain nights for the Lincoln exhibit. Tonight we went with Mimi and Pop so that Daddy and Pop could see the exhibit. I was also able to see everything since Mimi stayed with Cooper and Parker. There are some really neat items including what was in Lincoln's pocket when he was assassinated. They also have jewelry from Tiffany's that was worn by Mrs. Lincoln. Lincoln was an avid writer and it is amazing how many documents are still intact that were written by him. It really is a great exhibit. The boys were also able to act as tour guides and show Daddy around since he has only been to the museum at Christmas time to see Santa and ride the train. Cooper could not wait to show Daddy the Woolly Mammoth. Baylor thought the museum was really neat at night and we all agreed. Uncle Joe and Megan are going to have their reception at the Indiana State Museum and it will be so Align Centerlovely.

Belated Preschool Valentine's Party

What a great time!
He loves Mrs. Steele. It is so nice he will still get to see her next year when Cooper starts preschool.
Singing God Bless the USA.
After the party we went to lunch at Paradise Bakery, yummy, and then went to a few stores. It was sunny and around 40 degrees today. We tried to enjoy it since more snow is in the forecast for next week, yuck!
This angel baby slept the whole time we were gone. He really likes to be on the move.

After several snow days the Valentine's party was rescheduled twice and we were finally able to have it today. The kids had a great time and did not seem to care one bit that Valentine's Day was almost one week ago. First they made a heart wind chime which turned out really cute. Then we played three different games. They all loved the bouncy horse relay with the punch balloons. After games they had a tasty snack of grapes, ice cream, and heart cookies with a juice box. Today was community helper day at school so they were all wearing different costumes. Baylor was a soldier and looked super handsome. Before the kids left they sang "God Bless the USA" for me and it was so sweet. Their end of the year program this year is going to be patriotic and this is one of their songs. I can't believe Baylor only has one more preschool party. I feel so blessed to have been able to do all of his parties and enjoy these special days at school with him.

Oh Be Careful...

This is one of Parker's favorite songs. It always soothes him and usually puts him right to sleep.
Oh, be careful little eyes, what you see.
Oh, be careful little eyes, what you see.
For the Father up above is looking down with love,
So be careful little eyes, what you see.

Oh, be careful little ears, what you hear.
Oh, be careful little ears, what you hear.
For the Father up above is looking down with love,
So be careful little ears, what you hear.

Oh, be careful little mouth, what you say.
Oh, be careful little mouth, what you say.
For the Father up above is looking down with love,
So be careful little mouth, what you say.

Oh, be careful little hands, what you touch.
Oh, be careful little hands, what you touch.
For the Father up above is looking down with love,
So be careful little hands, what you touch.

Oh, be careful little feet, where you go.
Oh, be careful little feet, where you go.
For the Father up above is looking down with love,
So be careful little feet, where you go.

While this is a great song for little believers it is also a great reminder for us as adults too! How neat is it that the things you teach your kids when they are little can serve as life long lessons.

Our Baby Can Read

What a cute face!
I think he may be a book lover too!
I love chunky colorful board books.
While he can't read yet, he is a great builder and has an amazing imagination.

Baylor is always so frustrated when the "Your Baby Can Read" commercials come on T.V. He always says why can that baby read and I can't, it's not fair! As a "retired" teacher I am not a huge fan of teaching a baby to read or do I think it is the best thing but the commercial is pretty amazing. Today I was teasing Baylor and told him Parker was in his room reading. It was quite funny. He said he's not reading he's just playing, he can't even talk. I will say that Parker likes to look at books and the colors on the pages. He even smiled several times when I was taking his picture. These are the first smiles I have gotten on camera that were real. I started reading books early to all the boys. Baylor by far got read to the most simply because he was the first. I would read him a basket of books every morning and every night. I would talk to him about each page and what was happening. This could be why he talks non stop now. He is so excited to learn how to read and likes working on sight words from preschool. He does know his letters and their sounds so we are headed in the right direction.

I Look Like Daddy

Daddy's pal
He carries his Valentine balloon all over the house.

This morning when I was getting Cooper dressed he said, "Is this Daddy's shirt"? He thought I was putting him in Tom's shirt. He was wearing an orange and blue polo shirt and for Valentine's Day we got Tom an orange and blue short sleeve polo shirt. It was so cute. All morning he kept asking if he looked like Daddy. He would say, " I ike this shirt, I ook ike Daddy". Too cute!
