Zoo Boo

We went to ZooBoo this afternoon with a gorilla, panda, and elephant. They were ready for fun at the zoo. It was a zoo at the zoo. We waited 25 minutes to get in the parking lot because the lot was at capacity. It was packed!
We made it and were ready for fun!

It was a bright and sunny crisp fall day.

Our little panda was happy about the candy at the trick or treat stations. He sampled several pieces.

Parker enjoyed trick or treating too!

The animals were so active since it was later and cooler in the day.

We spent a long time watching the monkeys. The little monkey was so cute.

We love all the Halloween decorations at the zoo. There were some great displays.

Parker the elephant liked seeing the real elephants.

We crafted and played games too.

The Wizard of Oz display was so cute.

The spooky carousel went backwards.

They rode together on the shark.

They made an obstacle course in the splash park area. The boys did it several times and had so much fun.

I went with Parker and he did great!

We had a great time at the Zoo and enjoyed ZooBoo.

After the zoo we ate dinner at Champps and had a yummy dinner. They boys were worn out from all the fun they had and Cooper fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up when we carried him to bed.

We cooked breakfast at home today and then worked outside getting things ready for winter. Daddy worked hard to get my car in the garage.

Parker and I worked inside cleaning out closets and getting out winter clothes while the big boys played in the leaves and helped Daddy.

They love the woods and love all of the leaves in the fall.

We all love spending time outside in the fall.

Barn Party

Tonight we went to a Halloween Barn Party at Miss Rosie's barn. The boys decided to go to the party as cowboys. Cooper wanted to wear Woody and Baylor was a real cowboy.
They were ready for a fun night at the barn. Parker stayed home with Miss Sarah and had fun playing. It would've been a long night with him.

The boys had fun showing Daddy all of the horses when we first got to the barn.

They loved spending time with Daddy.

The barn was decorated and there was a band that played country music. Cooper was busy dancing to the music. He tore up the dance floor.

He did some dancing with Mommy.

The barn is so dusty so my pictures always turn out bad. They had fun trying to catch their hats on their heads.

We had a fun night with our boys!

They had ham, coney dogs, hot dogs, and sloppy joes. It was all tasty.

We were happy to be in the barn because it was chilly outside.

The kids played two games of musical buckets and the adults played one game. The band would play the music at different speeds. Baylor was the second round winner for the kids and won a prize. Daddy was the winner for the adult game. Go Hurst Boys!

Then it was time to bob for apples.

Coop had a hard time reaching the table so Daddy held him up.

He got it though.

Baylor got really wet and had a hard time getting the apple to stay still.

He was successful! We had a great time at the barn. Thanks Miss Rosie for a fun party!

Halloween Prairie Tykes

Once again Cooper had a big decision when he came time to select his costume today. He was going to be an astronaut, pirate, spiderman, and power ranger before he decided on Donald Duck. When he found out Parker was wearing his Mickey costume he knew he wanted to be Donald Duck. They looked so cute together and were excited for the Halloween party at Conner Prairie.
Since Cooper had fall break today we were able to go earlier and play inside before class. The boys have so much fun in the play area and it wasn't very crowded at all. They had fun building with Mimi and they love the general store. It is such a nice area.

After play time it was time for Prairie Tykes. Parker went to his first class today. The class is for two years olds but we decided to let him try it today. He did great!

He sat like a big boy right next to Cooper and worked on his craft. They made a trick or treat bag, a ghost frame, and decorated a real mini pumpkin. Miss Mary read a book, did some poems, and we sang and danced.

There were lots of games to play today. Cooper loved pumpkin bowling. After games the kids all got to trick or treat in the offices inside Conner Prairie. What a fun party! Donald and Mickey had a great time. We ended our day at the apple store. It was our last visit of the season since it closes on Monday. We will miss the outside area too but will welcome a new season in the spring.

A few remnants from the birthday party.

1. I love these cookies. I wish I still had some.

2. We now have a 7 year old. He has loved looking at all of these cards.

3. Cooper wanted to save some of these cupcake picks with a 4 on them.

4. I love the octopus hat Baylor got from the party. He lasted for several days.

2. The night of the birthday party Pop had a concert with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. We thought the lights looked like they were from a diner for him.

3. Parker sat in the back of the golf cart.

4. My dress up attire as a mom of boys. Cooper wanted me to wear the Thor hat.

Katie Collier came to Baylor's last game of the season. She surprised the boys with presents for their birthdays.

1. Baylor got to open his present in the parking lot, he was thrilled. He got a big Nerf gun and is over the moon.

2. Katie was Baylor's first babysitter and he loved her so! We love getting to see her still.

3.Coop got the GeoTrax BatCave. He was so excited!

1. His new trick is to climb into the high chair by himself and say "EAT". He's always hungry!

2. He was worn out after the apple orchard/pumpkin patch trip and fell asleep in the car while eating his apple slush.

1. I've been cooking this week and using my freezer meals. Tuesday night we had breakfast for dinner, the casserole was delicious.

2. I also made the chicken pot pie. It was good but Tom was not a fan.

3. Parker now wants to wear his hat when he eats. He loved the chicken pot pie. He's easy to please when it comes to food.

4. Oh no, Christmas is really coming. They have peppermint hot chocolate and mochas already at McDonald's We have a special surprise for the boys this year and I am so excited!
