Easter Morning

Parker loved his basket!
Baylor and Cooper with their baskets!
Cooper loved finding his surprises.
He was a super sleuth.
I had a hard time getting Daddy up because he was snuggling with Parker.

Tom and I got up early and got ready before waking the boys to find their Easter surprises. We knew we needed to be at church early since they were closing the doors for a special presentation during the first ten minutes. Even though we live 30 seconds away we always seem to be late by the time we get to church and get the boys in their classes. The boys were excited to wake up and find their surprises. The bunny hid Cooper's basket and presents in the dining room and Baylor was in the family room. Since Baylor is the oldest the bunny asked him to find Parker's basket too. Baylor loved his big glitter ball and his big box of crayons. Cooper loved his gum, sucker, and race car Pez. Can you tell Coop is still our candy lover with a real sweet tooth! Parker was excited about his basket and his new toys. He is starting to be able to hold toys and loves to bat at them.
Church was packed today! The service was excellent and so moving. I love Easter morning and being able to celebrate our risen Lord and the eternal life we can have through him. Baylor wanted to know why church was more crowded on Easter. I thought it was very interesting for him to ask and we talked about why some people only attend on Easter. He said he would like to have them come all the time and we all agreed. I loved all the songs we sang and truly enjoyed the entire worship experience. While all the activities and traditions are fun I want my boys to know the true meaning of Easter and that Jesus loves them.

"But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. . . .' " Mark 16: 4-6

He Lives!
