Today after preschool we went to the Gingerbread man party at Conner Prairie. Before the class started Mimi, Baylor, Cooper, and I looked at all the gingerbread houses on display. They were so neat and some of them were really elaborate. Both boys enjoyed checking them all out and Baylor decided he needed to make another house with Pop to try and get a little more advanced. Both boys loved the class today and did a great job. Cooper was so good today and said that he went to "skool too". He was proud that of going to his class. At the beginning Miss Mary read the Gingerbread Man to the kids. They then did finger plays and sang songs about the gingerbread man. The kids then had to be detectives and follow the big gingerbread footprints in the hallway to find the real gingerbread man. They loved running on the big footprints and we found him back in the class. He danced with the kids and they all got a picture with him. For snack the kids had a gingerbread cookie they were able to decorate with icing and some cereal with milk. Cooper kept calling the icing, "ice ceam". For craft the kids made their own gingerbread house using graham crackers, icing, and lots of goodies. This was a big hit and they turned out so cute. Before leaving we sang one more song about the gingerbread man. It was a great day and lots of fun.
