Project 365: April

On the last day of April I was able to go to dinner with my bestie.  We went to Broadripple and ate at the Monon Food Co.  I had never been there before and the food was tasty!  I can't believe April is over and we are ready for May.  Bring on the last month of school, I hear summer calling!
Here is our month in review!

Sunday

On Sunday morning these handsome boys went to church with Daddy and Mommy stayed home.  I still didn't feel great.  I was able to watch Uncle Joe sing on Channel 13 in the morning doing a promo for the Indianapolis Symphony performance this weekend that he is singing in at Hilbert Circle.  He did a great job.  Daddy grilled out for lunch and then we spent the day getting ready for the week.  Mimi and Pop came over for dinner and we played some games together.  The rainy day kept us inside but we enjoyed our time together.

Date Night with Daddy

Our Saturday plans once again did not go as planned because of the weather.  We woke to stormy weather which ended up cancelling all games for the day.  It was kind of a blessing because I woke up in the night on Friday with an ear ache and terrible head cold.  I ended up going to the Minute Clinic and got medicine and slept most of the afternoon.  I just felt awful.  Daddy was so good to keep the boys occupied and busy for the day.

By the evening they were all ready for a change of scenery.  Daddy took the big boys to go see The Pirates Band of Misfits and Mimi and Pop watched Parker for the evening.  I spend the evening at home on the couch with Baxter.  It was so nice and quiet.
The boys thought the movie was really funny and had fun spending time with their Daddy.  Parker loved playing with Mimi and Pop.  They even brought me home a milkshake which was a nice surprise.

Day off School

On Friday Baylor had a snow make up day and had the day off.  I can't remember a year that we haven't had to make up any snow days, it is so nice!  It was a nice treat to have a long weekend.  I had a doctor's appointment in the morning and Cooper had preschool then we headed out for some fun.  Baylor picked O'Charley's for lunch, the place with the yummy rolls.
He loves to eat there!
Then we went with Mimi to the movies to see Chimpanzee.  It was such a great movie!
Cooper thought it was sad in a few parts and wanted to sit on my lap.
They both want to see it again!
On Friday night Tom and I had a date night too which was fun.  We went to dinner at Harry and Izzy's and then went to go see Salmon Fishing in the Yemin.  We had a great night together.

Cooper's Make Up Soccer Game

The weather has not been cooperating with soccer so far so we had a make up game during our practice time on Thursday night.  We had to hurry from the doctor to make it on time, but he was so excited.
Thankfully Uncle Joe was home and able to go with me and the boys.  Daddy had to work late and an extra hand makes it so nice.
Coop was busy running the whole game and did great.
He ended up scoring 3 goals and would look for Uncle Joe and Mommy and give a big thumbs up.  He was proud.
Go Cooper!
It really got windy during the game and got chilly but at least the sun was out.
The kids really are cute to watch.

Running hard.
Trying to get the ball!
So handsome!

He loves being on a team.
It was a successful game!
Taking a break.
KICK!
And he scores!
Hip Hip Hooray!

Baylor rode home with Maddy and played at her house while we were at the doctor and met us at the game.  He had a great time!
Uncle Joe came home with us then and ate dinner after the game.  The boys loved spending time with him too!

Space Cooper

By Thursday I was feeling worn out and tired.  I decided we should spend the day at home.  It was warmer and the sun was out so we took advantage and played outside.  Cooper got himself dressed, space suit and Batman boots.  Great choice, Buddy.

We ate lunch outside on the deck.
We love to eat outside.
Later in the day he decided he needed to go on a super secret space spy mission.  Serious business I tell ya!
At preschool they are working on the end of the year graduation program.  They are singing God Bless the USA and he has been practicing hard at home.  He is so serious when he sings this song, I love it!
A few life lessons by Cooper.

Rainy Baseball Game

Baylor had his second on Wednesday night.  It was sunny during the day and right before game time it started to sprinkle.  It basically sprinkled or poured during the whole game!
Baylor had three really good hits.  Here he is on third base with Daddy.
 He scored.
Up to bat.  There was a break in the rain and then it started to downpour again.  I was so thankful the little boys were at home with Miss Sarah.
He did play catcher again too and did great.  The game was finally called because lightning was spotted and there was thunder.  When the game was called we were tied 12-12.  They were going to make up the game on Thursday, which would have been crazy with a soccer game too, but according to the rules we had enough innings in and went back to the score of last inning so we ended up losing 7-12.  It was a rainy night at the ball field!

Sawyer's Wardrobe

Since I had gotten rid of almost all of our newborn baby clothes, Mr. Sawyer is in need of a new wardrobe.  I have saved most clothes in sizes 12 months and up but the smaller stuff is mostly gone.  He is getting some new adorable things, mostly thanks to Mimi:).  These are potential going home outfits.
 Sweet outfits.
 To cheer on his brothers.
I can't get this picture to turn, but these hats are all adorable.  Mimi ordered them off Etsy and I love them.  The lion and doggie hats are so cute!

 More cute clothes.
Sawyer may not have a room or a closet right now but his wardrobe is growing!

Sick Day

After Baylor's game on Saturday he was really worn out and wanted to go lay in his bed, which is so not like him.  Later in the day he was burning up and had the chills.  He said his throat hurt and his ear were bothering him too.  It was a long night Saturday and then on Sunday I took him to the Minute Clinic.  He had strep throat and an ear infection.  He stayed home on Monday and spent the day getting all better.  He watched movies, rested, and played Draw Something.  It was a lazy day at home for all of us. I am thankful he is feeling better now and back to the Baylor we know and love.

InstaFriday on Sunday

Tom was gone Monday night so we went to dinner with Mimi and to JoAnn Fabrics.  I needed material for a new bed skirt and the boys ended up with these great Power Ranger swords.  They are super in to Power Rangers right now, I find it strange!  However, Baxter is super in to Power Rangers too because he totally ate the yellow and blue sword.  He wasn't feeling the red one:).
I had Bible Study Tuesday night and this was Parker's face when he realized I wasn't home at bedtime.  Sad boy!
He was really tired though and was out on the couch while Daddy put the other boys to bed.
On Wednesday Baxter got a hair cut, it was a little too short.
Power Ranger mornings.
Sunny and warm for soccer on Thursday.  Coop was pointing to an airplane in the sky that was drawing pictures.
On Friday Coop wore his new shoes to school.  They make him super fast!
On Saturday morning Parker helped Daddy make waffles.
A yummy breakfast before heading to the ball diamonds to freeze.
We love when Daddy makes breakfast.
Concession stand lunch at the game.
It was cold!
Mr. Blue Teeth.

Uncle Joe is home!
Playing angry birds.  He cracks me up.
