Thankful

I am so thankful for these four little boys the Lord has given to us!

A week and a half ago my O.B. office called and said my Quad Screen Test came back with high numbers for down syndrome.  This was the same thing that had happened with Cooper.  They called while I was at Conner Prairie and right away was nervous.  Mom was there with me and as soon as class was over we headed to the doctor's office to get the second more extensive blood test.  This is a new blood test that looks specifically at traits that would occur in a baby with downs.  Before I was sent on right away to a specialist for a level 2 ultrasound.  Needless to say I have been worried and anxious over the past week, but  I felt a sense of peace.  I have been praying for Sawyer and his little life.  Last night as I was finishing up my Bible Study my phone rang and it was the nurse at my doctor's office.  It was 5:38 pm so I wasn't expecting a call since they close at 4:00 pm.  She said she had great news and all of the results came back negative, what a blessing.  Once again I was brought to tears and could not help but stop and pray a prayer of Thanksgiving.  People often ask me if I am sad that this baby is a boy and I truly can say he is a gift from God and was just the baby for our family.  God choose us to be parents of four little boys and we are honored and will do our best to raise then into Godly men who love the Lord with all of their heart.
