Splashing Good Time

He loved the water spouts.
There is water everywhere. (A little hard to take pictures with water spraying in every direction.)

This is taller than me.
I love these guys!

Cooper liked watching the lazy river.
Baylor loved standing under the huge water bucket when it dumps.

Mom, I ready to go to the beach.
So much fun.

These waves are great.
Baylor had fun crawling on the snake and playing basketball in the big pool.

This weekend we had a great little family get away to Great Wolf Lodge. The water park is awesome and both boys had lots of fun. Baylor the little daredevil was ready to go from the start, while it took Cooper a little bit of time to warm up to the idea of water. Last summer he was a little water baby, but has forgotten his love of the pool. The first night he would run from the water and would prefer to be held, but he quickly got over his fears on the second day. By this afternoon he was dunking his head in the water. Baylor went on every slide except one where he did not meet the requirements. He truly has no fear. He loved being able to swim and go under the water. Today he spend lots of time in the wave pool gearing up for the beach in a few short weeks. There was so much to do and lots of fun had by all. I love spending time with my boys.

Packed and Ready

We are packed and ready for some water fun. Great Wolf Lodge here we come. We are so excited to be out of the house and have the opportunity to swim in the winter. Baylor can barely wait to get there.

Dog Days of Winter

Our collection of stuffed dogs continues to grow. After finally escaping the confines of home we headed to TARGET and came home with two new puppies that were 75% off. We love Target sales. We set up our own little dog town and had fun playing. Baylor was a little frustrated when Cooper kept tearing off his signs, but eventually he got the hang of what to do. Both boys loved working on the dogs at the vet's office. They were all very sick. It was funny to watch Baylor switch roles between store owner, doctor, and trainer. He loves playing with the puppies and really has quite an imagination. The only problem came when he wanted to give them a bath in the real bath tub. Stuffed dogs would not make it through a bath given by Baylor.

Snowed In

Baylor is painting an Easter Crocodile. Not sure what this is but that is what he said.
Cooper loved coloring on the big paper. Notice the dee dee within reach on the paper just in case.

Cooper tried to help Baylor with his valentines but I think he caused some distractions. It took a long time to write his name on 24 cards for his classmates. Then then taped then to boxes of candy. We are ready for the school party.
After dinner we made Valentine cookies. We all love these "homemade" treats!

Wow, the weatherman was right this time about the snowfall this time. The boys and I were snowed in all day. We were busy all day long but it seemed like a very long day. I can't believe it is only 9:00, it feels much later. Today was going to be the day to finally get our new floor in the kitchen and laundry room. We had moved everything out of the kitchen last night to prepare, kitchen table, hutch, cleaned bathroom closet, and pantry. Then when the snow came the floor plans were cancelled. Well this made for an interesting day with everything in such disarray downstairs. I brought in the little table and we had fun sitting in the little chairs. We made crafts, colored, did valentines, painted, made cookies, played, read books, and worked on school work. It was a very busy day. We are hoping that the flooring people come tomorrow and I will finally be able to do laundry again. I know our laundry fairy, Mimi, will be glad when her extra duties are no longer needed. We love you Mimi!

Snow Time

As soon as Baylor saw the snow coming down this afternoon he was begging to go out and play. He wants to build a snowman so bad. I didn't want to take him out with Cooper so Daddy said he would take him out after dinner. Although it was really dark they were able to play in the snow with the help of the outside lights. Baylor had so much fun, but the snowman still did not happen. The snow was too fine and would not make a snowman. Baylor is still waiting for the perfect snow for his snow family. Daddy and Baylor had fun playing together and even took a ride on the four wheeler. They had a snowy good time.

MoJo Madness

Tonight we had a special friend come for a sleepover. Tom talked me into having MoJo spend the night. Baylor was so excited when he found out and could not wait to play with the dog. I was a little apprehensive to have the dog come over but after visiting at the office I knew the boys would love it and I could handle MoJo for one night. The boys loved playing with him but it definitely reaffirmed that we are not ready for a puppy at the Hurst house. Cooper dumped out his bowl of water and MoJo found a dee dee on the floor and started to chew it in his mouth. That dee made it right into the trash. Baylor said her name nine million times and would not leave her alone. Cooper wanted to play with her but did not understand the object of fetch. He would scream and cry when the dog ran off with the ball or toy that Cooper threw for him. Tom even said we are not ready quite yet. While we love MoJo a visit is much more our speed at this time in our lives. She is super cute and is definitely tired out after a night with the Hurst boys.

Bible Study Fun

Tonight at Bible Study the kids had a great time dressing up in Maddy and Drew's costumes. Baylor loves Maddy and was excited to wear some of her dress up clothes. He started out in Bullseye and Buzz, but then broke out the girl clothes. They really got into the costumes and had so much fun. Baylor had on dance costumes, high heels, and a tiara. It was so funny. Bible Study is bringing out his feminine side. We feel so blessed to have such great friends in this group and we love getting together. Baylor loves playing with Maddy and Drew, how nice to have friends they can grow up with over the years.

Rub A Dub Dub

Rub a dub dub two handsome boys in the tub. They both were having so much fun with the bath foam. Daddy gave them both new hairdos and they were covered in yummy smelling foam. I think we used the entire bottle in one bath but everyone had fun. Cooper did not know what to think when he had the foam on his head.

Get Your Jump On

What a great family day we had today. I love Saturdays when we are able to spend the whole day together as a family. This morning we went to Snapperz and it was awesome. It is an indoor play area with bounce houses, play area, and games. Baylor and Cooper had a wonderful time. Tom and I had fun going down the slides and playing right along with the boys. The facility is really nice and there was so much to do. Baylor liked jumping on the big trampoline which was quite a workout. Baylor really wants to go back there soon because it was so much fun. It was a perfect activity for a cold winter day.
