Baylor's Thanksgiving Feast

Today was Baylor's Thanksgiving feast at his school. I was excited to spend the whole morning in his classroom and help his class prepare for the feast.
The kids were all excited!

He has such a nice class!

The first step was the make the share soup that the kids would all be eating at the feast. They all brought in ingredients to make the soup.

I was there for calendar and the morning routine. I love his teacher and so do all of the kids. There are parts of first grade that I miss and special days like this really made teaching fun!

I got to take a reading group in the hall to read "Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving". I love this book by Dav Pilkey and so did the kids. Farmer Mack Nugget ended up turkey less on Thanksgiving.

Then we had to get busy making all of the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the whole first grade. The kids were great helpers.

They helped spread the jelly.

Then it was time for the feast with all of the first graders. They had peanut butter and jelly, fruit salad, graham crackers and icing, and share soup. They were really cute Pilgrims and Indians.

They made cute Give Thanks place mats to use for the special lunch.

It was a great day of giving thanks!

I'm thankful for him and loved spending the day with him!

Baylor loves his teacher and is having a great year in first grade!
